With years of experience in the air membrane industry, we often get asked: "Does an air membrane stadium look lightweight, is it safe?" Today we analyze its safety mechanism professionally. Its lightweight design is an advantage, while safety remains its core essence.
1. Structural Safety: Wind and pressure resistance backed by solid data
Our stadium adopts double-layer membrane and steel cable structure. The outer membrane withstands wind load up to 0.55kN/㎡, equivalent to the impact of strong gale force 10. The inner membrane and steel cables form a three-dimensional force-bearing network to disperse external force evenly. Equipped with intelligent air pressure control system, it automatically supplements or releases pressure to keep stable structural state even under extreme weather.
2. Material Safety: Hidden dangers eliminated with durability and environmental protection guaranteed
PVDF architectural membrane is applied, reaching national B1 fire resistance grade with self-extinguishing property. Free of formaldehyde, heavy metals and other harmful substances, the venue can be put into use right after completion. The UV-resistant coating ensures over 25 years of anti-aging service life. The material also features acid and alkali resistance, adapting to rainy, dusty and various harsh environments.
3. Emergency Safety: Multiple safeguards for reliable protection
Dual power supply & standby generator: Core facilities adopt dual power circuits. The standby generator activates within 30 seconds once power failure occurs, maintaining stable air pressure and emergency lighting.
Emergency exits & evacuation system: At least one exit is equipped per 100 square meters with bidirectional opening doors, emergency lights and evacuation signs for rapid evacuation in emergencies.
Real-time monitoring & remote early warning: 24-hour intelligent system tracks air pressure, temperature and membrane conditions. Alarms will be sent instantly once abnormality appears, with on-site maintenance available within one hour.
4. Compliance Safety: Fully conforming to national standards
All projects strictly follow Technical Specification for Membrane Structures (GB 50225-2015) and Design Code for Sports Buildings (JGJ 31-2003), meeting national safety standards and eligible for fire inspection and property registration.
Many assume non-traditional buildings lack safety. Nevertheless, air membrane venues turn seemingly fragile structures into controllable and reliable spaces via scientific design and technological innovation.
